Ocean city · Football · Business
Morocco’s largest city and economic capital on the Atlantic: the Hassan II Mosque over the ocean, Art Deco streets, football and a lively waterfront.
Casablanca is the country’s main business hub and its biggest city, spread along the Atlantic coast. Its landmark is the Hassan II Mosque, built partly over the sea, whose minaret is one of the tallest in the world. The city centre keeps a remarkable collection of early 20th-century Art Deco and colonial-era buildings.
Football runs deep here, with two of Morocco’s best-known clubs, and the corniche of Aïn Diab draws crowds at sunset. For event travellers, Casablanca combines a major airport and rail links with a wide choice of places to stay and eat.
