Pourquoi y aller
Le Jardin Secret sits behind a plain doorway on Rue Mouassine, in the middle of the medina. Inside, the noise of the souks drops away: water runs through channels and fountains, and planted beds are arranged according to the principles of the Islamic garden, alongside a section of plants from further afield.
It is a good place to understand why gardens matter so much in Moroccan architecture, and a welcome pause between the souks and the monuments of the old city. A tower, on a separate ticket, gives a view over the medina’s rooftops.
À quoi s’attendre
A small site you can see in about an hour, with benches and shade. The official website lists adult entry at 100 MAD, with reduced prices for visitors up to 24 and for Moroccan citizens, and free entry for children under 12 (checked October 2026). Children under 6 cannot go up the tower.
Nos conseils
- Combine it with the Mouassine fountain and the souks around it.
- Opening hours change with the season (shorter in winter); check the official website before you go.
- The tower ticket is sold separately.
